Doha: Jordan on Monday condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli attack that targeted the residential headquarters of a number of members of the Hamas Political Bureau in the Qatari capital, Doha, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a blatant attack on the sovereignty and security of the sisterly State of Qatar.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection and strong condemnation of this unacceptable Israeli attack. The Ministry emphasized that the attack constitutes a violation of the sovereignty of an Arab state and a dangerous and unacceptable provocative escalation that could push the region toward further violence and conflict, threatening regional and international security and stability.

The Ministry reiterated Jordan’s full support for Qatar, emphasizing the stability and safety of Qatar’s territory and citizens. Jordan also expressed its support for any measures Qatar takes to protect its security and sovereignty.
