Amman: Jordan's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, the country's state grain buyer, has issued a tender seeking to purchase a substantial quantity of wheat, ranging from 100,000 to 120,000 tonnes. The announcement underscores Jordan's ongoing efforts to secure essential grain supplies to meet domestic demand.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry has called on potential traders to acquire a copy of the tender documents for a non-refundable fee of JD650. The deadline for submitting bids is set for 2:00 pm next Tuesday, providing interested parties a narrow window to participate in the procurement process.
The ministry has outlined specific eligibility criteria for potential buyers. Participants must present copies of a valid professional license, a commercial register certified within 30 days prior to the tender opening date, and a valid registration with a Jordanian chamber of commerce. These requirements aim to ensure that only qualified and capable traders are involved in the tender process.
