Amman: A patrol in the Al-Qarn area, within the Northern Military Zone, encountered a vehicle that refused to stop at a security checkpoint, a military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces reported. The vehicle ignored orders to halt and attempted to breach the checkpoint, prompting the patrol to enforce the established rules of engagement after all warnings were exhausted.

According to Jordan News Agency, the vehicle was stopped following an exchange. Two men inside the vehicle were injured and taken to Abu Obeida Hospital in Northern Shuna for treatment but were later pronounced dead. An investigation has been launched to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

The Armed Forces have called on people to comply with military instructions at checkpoints, emphasizing that any violations will be addressed in accordance with the rules of engagement.
