Amman: A Jordanian national died and his wife is missing in the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs said on Saturday.
According to Jordan News Agency, official spokesperson Fouad Majali stated that the ministry is actively monitoring the situation of Jordanians in Venezuela. This is being done through the Jordanian Embassy in Brazil, which is coordinating with Venezuelan authorities in search efforts for the missing woman and continuing to provide necessary assistance and support to the family of the deceased.
Majali confirmed that the remaining Jordanians in Venezuela are safe. He urged the Kingdom's citizens residing there to contact the ministry or the Jordanian Embassy in Brazil for any assistance.
