Jordan’s Capital Expenditure Reaches JD452 Million in Early 2026: Ministry

Amman: The Kingdom's capital expenditure rose by roughly JD28 million in the first five months of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, amounting for nearly JD452 million, according to public finance data released by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry indicated that spending amounts were invested in multiple development projects funded under the 2026 State Budget. These projects include the expansion of the Risha Gas Field, the construction and equipping of Princess Basma Hospital and Ma'an Military Hospital, the National Employment Strategy, and vocational and technical education development initiatives.

The ministry highlighted that the growth reflects the government's commitment to investing in priority projects aimed at stimulating economic activity, boosting growth, improving public services, and maintaining development timelines.
