Jordan’s Taha Appointed as UN Resident Coordinator in Tunisia

Tunis: After receiving the host government's agreement, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced, on Thursday, that Jordanian Rana Taha will take over as UN Resident Coordinator in Tunisia, effective today.

According to Jordan News Agency, a UN statement said that Taha has 20 years of varied experience working with UN programs, funds, and organizations in addition to UN peacekeeping and political policy missions. In Kenya, she was the Senior Peace and Development Adviser for the United Nations.

Additionally, she participated in UN peacekeeping operations in Sudan and Lebanon.
