Kafa’a: 89.4% of Voters Approve of Parliamentary Election Outcome.

Kafa'a: Up to 89.4% of Jordanian voters are satisfied with the outcome of parliamentary elections held in September, according to the Performance Index Center Kafa'a. The survey was announced Saturday during a ceremony to launch the Compliance Index Report for Monitoring the 2024 Parliamentary Elections, which was attended by Independent Election Commission (IEC) Chairman Musa Maaytah, according to a commission statement. According to Jordan News Agency, the results of the polls reflected the commission's commitment to integrity and transparency standards and law enforcement in the management of the electoral process. IEC Chairman Musa Maaytah emphasized the commission's dedication to assessing its performance and learning from previous experiences. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts to develop new mechanisms for controlling electoral propaganda in partnership with relevant bodies to enhance discipline in future elections. The survey explored various aspects, such as personal information, voter satisfact ion with the secrecy of balloting, awareness of voter rights, the impact of awareness campaigns on turnout, the effectiveness of educational and promotional tools, the speed of response to complaints and objections, complainants' satisfaction with the management of complaints, and the accuracy of information provided to the public. Moaz Mobaideen, CEO of Kafa'a Center, noted that the performance index is based on international standards, including the 2005 UN Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation and human rights agreements, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
