Kuwait Crown Prince Mishal Al-Sabah Monday decided to dissolve the 2020 National Assembly, which was reinstated by the Constitutional Court ruling last March. According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Sabah, speaking on behalf of the Emir of the country, said that getting out of the repercussions of the current political scene requires going back to the constitution, adding that the decision to dissolve the parliament is aimed at respecting the “will of the people” and not overriding the law.
