Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa on Wednesday inaugurated a specialized workshop focused on the digital monitoring and assessment system for social protection systems and plans. The event was organized by the ministry in collaboration with the Social Affairs Sector of the Arab League, featuring participation from representatives of social affairs ministries across several Arab countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the opening ceremony, Bani Mustafa emphasized His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives to adopt a digital transformation approach in the public sector. This strategy aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability while providing scientific tools for data-driven and knowledge-based decision-making. Within this national vision, the Ministry of Social Development is implementing initiatives that have advanced the digital transformation of the social protection sector.
The ministry is focused on developing a national digital system to monitor and assess the National Social Protection Strategy (2025-2033). This system is designed to unify monitoring tools and connect them to national performance indicators, enabling progress tracking, assessment of the social impact of programs and initiatives, and guiding public policies based on reliable data and a scientific approach.
Furthermore, Bani Mustafa noted that the event hosted in Amman marks a milestone in joint Arab cooperation. It offers an opportunity to exchange expertise and improve coordination among member states in developing frameworks for monitoring, follow-up, and assessment of social protection systems. The minister also expressed gratitude to the Arab League for its support in organizing this workshop and promoting joint Arab action.
