More Than A Hundred Iraqi Universities And Colleges Ranked Globally

More than a hundred Iraqi governmental and private universities and colleges achieved competitive results in the global Web Matrix classification within the second half of the year 2023.

A statement by the Ministry of Higher Education stated that 31,000 educational institutions from more than 200 countries around the world have been classified according to indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their locations, clarity (50%), transparency (10%), research strength and excellence (40%).

The University of Baghdad came in the rank (1571), then it was followed by the universities of Diyala, Al-Mustansiriya, Al-Qadisiyah, Mosul, Kufa, Technology, Babylon, Anbar, and other Iraqi universities that were indicated by the official website of the classification (https://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq) of the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain .
