Ramallah: More than 1,821 Israeli violations were recorded across the West Bank in the month of July, head of the Palestinian Authority's Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Moayad Shaaban, said on Monday. In the commission's monthly report on "the occupation (authority's) violations and colonial expansion," Shaaban outlined a detailed account of the incidents that took place.
According to Jordan News Agency, the report highlighted that the Israeli army carried out 1,355 attacks, while extremist settlers were responsible for 466 of the incidents. The areas most affected included Ramallah with 302 attacks, Hebron with 300, and Nablus with 293. The violations varied widely, including armed assaults on towns and villages, land confiscation, summary executions, uprooting of trees, seizing of property, and the establishment of military checkpoints that hindered Palestinian movement.
The report emphasized that settler violence was particularly directed at rural and Bedouin communities, with 126 attacks in Ramallah, 103 in Hebron, 83 in Nablus, and 39 in Bethlehem. Shaaban asserted that this increase in settler terrorism is not an isolated phenomenon, but rather part of a coordinated policy backed by the state, aimed at intimidation, displacement, and acts against Palestinians. This is occurring alongside ongoing conflicts in the Gaza Strip.
