Petroleum Minister Tarek el Moulla asserted on Sunday the importance of cooperation with the US in the field of green hydrogen as the fuel of the future.
This came during his talks with Assistant Secretary for the US Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management Brad Crabtree who is currently visiting Cairo to discuss fostering ties within the international initiatives including Global Methane Pledge, Net Zero World Initiative and East Mediterranean Gas Forum initiative to manage carbon.
The minister also stressed the importance of working within the joint international initiatives to reach more cooperation and provide solutions and technology required to cut methane and gather and store carbon in petroleum and natural gas industries.
While Crabtree said that his country hails Egypt’s distinguished efforts to cut emissions in the petroleum and natural gas industries as well as Cairo's keenness to join the Global Methane Pledge and Net Zero World Initiative.
