PM Receives The US Ambassador, Stresses The Need For Continued Dialogue Between Iraq And The US To Organize The Relationship In The Post-ISIS Phase

Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq will continue to implement its reform programs at various levels, and work to build fruitful partnerships with friendly and brotherly countries.

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, received today, Sunday, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, and discussed with her the Iraqi-American relations, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in the economic and development fields, in light of the strategic framework agreement, in a way that benefits the interests of the two friendly countries.

Al-Sudani pointed out, "to the need for continued dialogue between Iraq and the United States to regulate the relationship in the post-victory stage over the terrorist organization ISIS, and in light of the development of the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces."

For her part, the US ambassador affirmed her country's keenness to continue cooperation and develop common interests with Iraq, praising the last round of strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States in the US capital, Washington, stressing her country's readiness to continue constructive dialogue.
