Amman:Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah met with UAE Ambassador Sultan Al Shamsi to discuss security and police cooperation, focusing on expanding coordination and exchanging expertise to address evolving security challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Maj. Gen. Maaytah emphasized the importance of building on the existing cooperation between Jordan and the UAE to effectively address security threats and combat crime. He highlighted the need for expanded collaboration in areas such as police training, professional development, and the adoption of modern policing technologies to improve operational efficiency and stay abreast of developments in the security sector.
Ambassador Al Shamsi praised the PSD's efforts in maintaining security, protecting communities, and providing essential security, humanitarian, and public services. He reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to strengthening bilateral security cooperation and utilizing shared expertise and capabilities to advance mutual interests.
