Amman: Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) and the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) training camp – Orange Corners 2025 edition – and strengthen cooperation in entrepreneurship and innovation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed by the PSUT President Wijdan Abu Haija and the HCST Secretary-General and Chair of the Supervisory Committee of the National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES), Mashhoor Refai. Abu Haija stated that the agreement aligns with PSUT’s mission to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and empower youth to turn ideas into ventures that contribute to the national economy. She emphasized QRCE as a platform for identifying talent and providing an environment for entrepreneurs across the Kingdom.

Refai highlighted NAFES’ commitment to enhancing Jordan’s innovation ecosystem by supporting national initiatives targeting young people and creative entrepreneurs. He noted that the partnership reflects institutional integration in advancing entrepreneurship and innovation.

Now in its thirteenth edition, the award focuses on Internet of Things, mobile applications, hardware technology, and early-stage startups, along with prototype-stage projects and pioneering ideas. The training camp offers a hybrid program of 15 sessions covering customer development, prototyping, value proposition, feasibility studies, financial planning, product design, and team building. Participants will also meet experts, exchange knowledge, and develop business plans to enhance their competitiveness in the Jordanian market.

The Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Award aims to strengthen technological innovation, highlight emerging projects, and expand opportunities within Jordan’s technology startup sector.
