RJAF Evacuates 50 Jordanians from Lebanon

Following royal directives to ensure the safe return of Jordanian nationals from Lebanon, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates announced Wednesday the evacuation of 50 Jordanian citizens and their families from the country. The evacuees were transported on a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) military aircraft, which also delivered food, relief supplies, medicine, and medical equipment to Lebanon. This marks the 12th Jordanian aid flight to Lebanon. According to the ministry's spokesperson, Sufian Qudah, this is the sixth evacuation flight for Jordanian citizens residing or present in Lebanon. To date, 164 citizens and their families have been evacuated via RJAF flights, all of whom registered on the embassy's designated evacuation platform. Qudah highlighted that the evacuations are part of a coordinated effort led by the ministry in collaboration with the Jordanian Armed Forces, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management. The goal is to ensu re the safe return of all Jordanian nationals amid ongoing Israeli military aggression in Lebanon. Since early August, a total of 3,353 Jordanian citizens have returned from Lebanon, either by air through Queen Alia International Airport or by land via the Jaber Border Crossing. The Jordanian embassy in Lebanon continues to assist with evacuations by air and by securing citizens' return overland through Syria. The embassy closely monitors the well-being of Jordanian nationals in Lebanon, confirming that all are safe and that no injuries have been reported. Qudah reiterated his call for Jordanian citizens in Lebanon who wish to leave to register immediately on the ministry's evacuation platform or contact the ministry or the Jordanian embassy for assistance through the provided hotlines and email.
