Istanbul: A senior Russian official announced on Sunday that Moscow has received Ukraine's draft memorandum, which outlines a potential peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. Vladimir Medinsky, an advisor to President Putin and the head of the Russian delegation for the upcoming peace talks in Istanbul, confirmed the submission of the document in both Ukrainian and English.
According to Anadolu Agency, Medinsky stated that the Russian delegation had previously received a version of the memorandum from Ukraine. He emphasized that the language of the document posed no issues and remarked that key points had already been circulated in Western media. Medinsky also indicated that Russia would announce its stance on the Ukraine issue on Monday.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's president expressed his government's commitment to achieving progress towards peace during the Istanbul talks, despite not having received a ceasefire memorandum from Russia. He noted that the Russian memorandum had not been shared with Ukraine, Turkey, or the United States. Despite this, Ukraine remains determined to make strides toward peace.
