Aqaba:A 13-member Russian media delegation, representing prominent television channels and news outlets, embarked on an educational tour of southern Jordan's Renaissance Triangle, hosted by the Jordan Heritage Revival Company (JHRC).
According to Jordan News Agency, the Renaissance Triangle is an interactive cultural route connecting the cities of Aqaba, Wadi Rum, and Ma'an. This trail, developed and managed by JHRC, narrates significant historical events that have shaped modern Jordan, allowing visitors to experience these moments at their original locations.
The delegation's tour included a visit to Al Sharif Hussein Bin Ali House in Aqaba, followed by the Journey Through 1916 experience aboard the Great Arab Revolt train in Wadi Rum. This dramatic simulation involves horsemen, camel cavalry, period vehicles, and sound effects, engaging participants as active witnesses to historical events.
Russian journalists praised the tour for its dynamic presentation and effective blending of historical elements with their locations. JHRC CEO Muayyad Abu Rumman highlighted the aim of the route to convert isolated historic sites into a cohesive experience, from Al Sharif Hussein's house in Aqaba to the Founding King's Residence in Ma'an.
Abu Rumman emphasized the significance of this media visit in enhancing Jordan's visibility in the Russian market. He acknowledged the joint marketing efforts by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and Royal Jordanian Airlines, which promote authentic Jordanian experiences that encourage extended visits and deeper exploration of the southern region.
JHRC operates as a development initiative backed by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development and ASEZA, focusing on creating interactive heritage experiences that preserve local history, engage visitors, and foster economic growth and job creation in local communities.
