Tafilah: Tafilah Governor Omar Zyoud highlighted the importance of improving treatment services and mechanisms to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare, particularly in family and childhood services, across the governorate. Zyoud made his remarks during an inspection of a project to modernize and develop the Qadisiyah Health Center, located south of Tafilah. The project, which was completed at a cost of JD1.115 million, was allocated by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation toward the health sector. According to Jordan News Agency, Zyoud stressed the need to overcome obstacles hindering the progress of key projects in the governorate, advocating for a collaborative approach to improve essential services and reduce poverty and unemployment issues. Zyoud also noted that Tafilah has benefited from various royal initiatives in the health sector, most notably the Tafilah Governmental Hospital. He pointed out the presence of comprehensive and sub-health centers across Tafilah, Al- Hasa, and Busayra districts, emphasizing the need to continue developing these medical facilities to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare in a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and visitors. Mona Amaira, Director of Health Affairs in Tafilah, mentioned the completion of seven health projects that involved expanding buildings, maintaining, and equipping medical centers. These projects, funded by a Spanish grant worth JD3 million, aim to improve the healthcare infrastructure, with the Qadisiyah Health Center being the only one to undergo full construction under the grant allocations.
