Baghdad - The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, announced the voluntary return of (159) displaced people from Qara Tu camp in Sulaymaniyah Governorate to their original residential areas in Diyala Governorate, in line with the government program and implementation of the National Plan for the Return of the Displaced.
Jabro said, according to the Ministry’s statement, “The cadres of the Ministry’s branches distributed durable goods, including (refrigerators, cookers, and television screens) and relief aid, to families returning to their original areas, to encourage voluntary return.”
The Minister stressed that "the coming days will witness the return of more displaced families to their original areas of residence because there is a real desire to return voluntarily due to the conditions they are experiencing inside the displacement camps."
