Turkish intelligence announced the killing of a leader in the Kurdistan Workers' Party in a security operation it carried out in northern Iraq.
Turkish intelligence said in a media circular on Friday that its members were able to kill the leader of the Workers' Party called Chia Fakir, who was responsible for assassinations in the terrorist organization, in a security operation in the Sinjar district in northern Iraq.
Turkish intelligence indicated that Fakir was hiding under the name “Elias Biro Ali” and is considered responsible for assassination operations against Turkish security forces and civilians and is active in recruiting new elements for the Kurdistan Workers’ Party organization.
