Aqaba:According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has announced that the Kingdom will face unstable weather conditions over the next three days. This period will see scattered rain showers across various regions, some of which may experience heavy rain, lightning, thunder, and occasional hail.
These conditions heighten the risk of flash floods, especially in valleys and low-lying areas in the southern and eastern regions of Jordan. On Saturday, moderate temperatures are expected in most areas, with warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Scattered showers are anticipated in the eastern and southern regions, including Aqaba, with a potential for heavy rainfall and accompanying thunderstorms and hail.
The JMD cautions that the risk of flash floods is particularly high during the afternoon hours. Thundershowers may persist into the night in some eastern and southeastern areas.
On Sunday, unstable weather is projected to spread, with scattered rain showers expected throughout Jordan, including Aqaba, frequently accompanied by thunder. Atmospheric instability is likely to increase by the afternoon, leading to brief, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail in the southern and eastern regions, which could result in flash floods.
The unstable weather is forecasted to continue into Monday, with scattered showers across the Kingdom, potentially heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail.
