Yarmouk University and Bulgarian Ambassador Explore Academic Cooperation

Irbid: Yarmouk University (YU) Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Musa Rababa'a, engaged in discussions with the Bulgarian Ambassador to Jordan, Metin Kazak, to explore avenues for enhancing academic and cultural cooperation between YU and Bulgarian educational institutions.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Rababa'a emphasized the significance of expanding YU's international cooperation network, which plays a crucial role in enhancing its academic status and enriching its research and educational environment. He highlighted that YU has already established over 100 agreements and memoranda of understanding with various regional and international academic entities.

Dr. Rababa'a noted that these partnerships have facilitated opportunities for YU students to pursue postgraduate studies and have been instrumental in enabling exchange of expertise and faculty visits. He also discussed strategies to strengthen joint academic and cultural exchange, particularly within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, as YU currently maintains relationships with six Bulgarian universities.

Furthermore, Dr. Rababa'a expressed the university's readiness to welcome Bulgarian students into the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Program, indicating a commitment to fostering cross-cultural academic ties. Ambassador Kazak commended the robust bilateral relations and reiterated Bulgaria's commitment to enhancing cooperation between the higher education institutions of both countries.
