Amman: The Ministers of Youth and Environment, Raed Adwan and Ayman Suleiman, convened on Sunday to solidify a collaborative effort aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among Jordanian youth. This initiative seeks to engage young people actively in national environmental campaigns.

According to Jordan News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Environment on Monday underscored the critical role of youth in national efforts to reduce littering and the use of plastic bags. These campaigns are in line with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, which focuses on empowering youth and directing their energies towards sustainable development.

The ministers agreed to launch joint training programs and awareness campaigns, along with youth-led environmental activities across various youth centers. The partnership will also roll out on-the-ground campaigns designed to instill a sense of environmental citizenship and emphasize the importance of conserving natural resources.

The collaboration is expected to position young individuals as pivotal contributors to addressing environmental challenges and paving the way for a more sustainable future for the nation.
