Amman: Minister of Youth Raed Adwan and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) Mousa Maaytah attended the second preparatory session for the "Your Voice" program at the Amman Youth Hostel, aimed at empowering young leaders across the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, the session, named "Discover Yourself to Lead Others," was organized by the Youth Leadership Development Center in collaboration with the IEC's "Ana Usharek" (I Participate) initiative. This session assembled 50 young participants from various youth centers to foster leadership and political awareness.
Minister Adwan highlighted that the "Your Voice" program is a testament to Royal directives focused on youth empowerment, aligning with the Kingdom's political modernization efforts. He noted the ministry's objectives to enhance political awareness among the youth, instill values of citizenship and democracy, and develop leadership skills. The program aims to engage young individuals in public life and decision-making, reinforcing the belief that they are integral to national development.
Chairman Maaytah described the program as a national model of collaboration between the IEC and the Ministry of Youth, emphasizing its role in politically empowering the youth. He mentioned that the initiative equips young people with essential knowledge and skills for informed public participation, while promoting dialogue, active citizenship, and responsibility. Maaytah stressed the importance of youth awareness in the democratic process, viewing them as pivotal partners in political modernization, and noted the value of investing in their potential to prepare future leaders.
The "Your Voice" program is a four-month initiative targeting members of youth centers to bolster their political empowerment and understanding of democratic processes. It includes dialogue sessions, training workshops, and interactive activities across 15 youth centers and sports complexes in various governorates.
