The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, confirmed that the government is continuing to implement sustainable development projects.
The State of Law coalition said in a statement: “Al-Maliki met in his office today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Ali Riza Guney.”
The two sides reviewed the latest developments in the political and security situation, the repercussions of regional and international events, and Iraq’s relations with Turkey in various fields, in addition to discussing Turkey’s contribution to the Development Road Project alongside the rest of the neighboring countries, and the file of shared waters.
The head of the State of Law coalition confirmed that the government is continuing to implement sustainable development projects, as well as implementing the Development Road Project, as it is a vital regional project important for Iraq and Turkey, saying: There must be joint work between the two countries in order to consolidate and strengthen relations in all economic and development sectors, indicating that there is a keenness to create an attractive environment for foreign investment, and providing ways to develop promising investment opportunities for foreign companies to invest in Iraq, noting that Turkish companies played an important role in the construction process in Iraq.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador delivered President Erdogan’s invitation to Al-Maliki to visit Turkey, stressing his country’s desire to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries, adding: The coming period will witness a qualitative shift in the development of relations between the two countries.
