Amman: Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi condemned Israeli officials' "irresponsible" statements suggesting establishing a Palestinian state in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement on Saturday, Yamahi warned that such remarks could exacerbate tensions and fuel regional conflicts.
According to Jordan News Agency, Yamahi stated that the Arab Parliament firmly rejects the Israeli statements, which undermine the sovereignty, security, and stability of Saudi Arabia. He described these comments as a "clear violation" of international law and United Nations resolutions, emphasizing that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are integral to Arab national security.
Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's steadfast opposition to any statements that infringe upon the sovereignty of Arab nations. He reiterated the Parliament's support for the Palestinian people's legitimate and inalienable right to establish an independent state on their national territory, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem based on the borders of June 4, 1967.
He expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in preserving its sovereignty, security, and stability.
