Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Chief of Asian and Pacific Affairs, participated in the sixteenth annual ministerial meeting of the Global Governance Group (G3), on the sidelines of the78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
It highlighted the importance of multilateralism in tackling challenges, emphasised the urgency to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, as well as benefiting from digital transformation for development.
Singapore established the 30-member Global Governance Group in 2009 to serve as a bridge between the G20 and the rest of the United Nations member states
