Amman: Deputizing for the Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, Mustafa Rawashdeh, inaugurated an art exhibition titled "Painting Joy" on Monday evening. The proceeds from this exhibition are designated to support the children of Gaza. In his address to journalists, representatives of local, Arab, and international media outlets, as well as artists, intellectuals, and stakeholders at the event, Rawashdeh emphasized the alignment of this initiative with Jordan's steadfast support for Palestine under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah. He reiterated Jordan's commitment to halting the aggression against Gaza. According to Jordan News Agency, Minister Rawashdeh highlighted that Jordan's supportive stance towards Palestine and its people has been consistent since the inception of the Palestinian cause. He asserted that the Palestinian issue is regarded as an internal and national concern for Jordan, and the nation remains unwavering in its backing for Palestine and Gaza. This support continues under the l eadership of His Majesty the King, who is a significant advocate for ending the conflict in Gaza. The exhibition, taking place at the Greater Amman Municipality's Ras Al Ain Gallery, features participation from Jordanian and Arab artists. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts. Attendees included the ministry's acting secretary general, Maher Nafash, Jerash Festival Executive Director, Ayman Samawi, Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan, Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan, Supark Prongthura, and GAM's head of cultural department, Abdul Hadi Majali. Furthermore, the Culture Minister reiterated Jordan's longstanding support for Gaza and its people against Israeli occupation aggression. He emphasized the importance of utilizing artistic and cultural themes to convey messages to the world, showcasing Jordan's comprehensive support for Gaza at various levels and with all available resources.
