Cairo: A team from Jadara University held a virtual coordination meeting on Wednesday with representatives from the British Council in Egypt to explore avenues for academic and training cooperation, particularly in English language education and international student development. The meeting, conducted via Zoom, was chaired by university president Habes Hatamleh and attended by key figures from both parties.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on collaborative opportunities, particularly in delivering high-quality programs for international English exams, notably IELTS. Jadara University is the only accredited center in Jordan's northern region to administer the IELTS exam, positioning it as a central hub for over 60,000 university and college students in the region, as well as thousands of professionals and members of the local community seeking academic or career advancement abroad.
The university team also presented its updated strategy for marketing and media, which integrates digital platforms, traditional media, and field campaigns, while emphasizing community engagement to enhance the university's public image and promote its academic and training programs.
Hatamleh affirmed the university's commitment to building effective partnerships with prestigious international institutions such as the British Council. He noted that such collaborations are vital to improving educational outcomes, advancing students' language skills, and strengthening their readiness for global employment markets.
The two sides concluded the meeting by agreeing to draft a joint action plan for future cooperative projects aligned with the university's mission of academic excellence and community service.
