Madaba: The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has taken significant action to ensure food safety by destroying 7,639 kilograms of spoiled food items and 119 liters of juices during its inspection tours in the Madaba governorate since the beginning of the current year.
According to Jordan News Agency, the JFDA's office in Madaba conducted 408 monitoring tours from the start of the year. These inspections resulted in warnings being issued to 193 entities, the suspension of 27 establishments, and the shutdown of two facilities. These measures highlight the JFDA's commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety in the region.
The JFDA emphasized its role in raising awareness in Madaba by organizing periodic workshops and educational lectures aimed at various food sectors. These initiatives are designed to educate and inform stakeholders about best practices in food safety and hygiene.
