Jordan and Kuwait Discuss Expanding Security Cooperation and Joint Training

Amman: Interior Minister Mazen Faraya met on Wednesday with Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation and training programmes.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, held at the Ministry of Interior in Amman, featured discussions on the advanced level of cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait in security-related matters. Interior Minister Faraya emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the Jordanian and Kuwaiti ministries of interior and their respective security agencies on issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Fahad expressed Kuwait's commitment to bolstering security relations and expanding the exchange of expertise, which he noted would pave the way for new opportunities for cooperation between the two nations. He also highlighted the strong and longstanding relations Jordan and Kuwait share across various sectors.

The meeting was attended by Director of Public Security Major General Obaidullah Maayta and members of the delegation accompanying the Kuwaiti interior minister.
