Jordan and Qatar Strengthen Ties in Charitable and Humanitarian Sector.

Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa met with Ibrahim Al-Dehaimi, Director General of Qatar's Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), on Tuesday to discuss strengthening collaboration in charitable and humanitarian initiatives. The discussions covered experience-sharing in the implementation of social programs and avenues for cooperation under an expected memorandum of understanding. According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, attended by ministry officials, saw Bani Mustafa emphasize the value of partnership with RACA, particularly in knowledge exchange and capacity-building in social services. She outlined the ministry's role in empowering and classifying charitable associations as key partners in providing essential social services. The minister also highlighted efforts to enhance governance within the associations, including encouraging unions and coalitions to achieve targeted social objectives. The minister referenced the Takamul platform, an initiative aimed at str eamlining the operations of charitable associations. She noted that 76 percent of associations are now registered on the platform, which seeks to create a unified database to manage assistance to target groups more effectively, ensuring fair resource distribution and avoiding duplication. For his part, Al-Dehaimi expressed his commitment to expanding cooperation, highlighting the significance of Jordan's regulatory efforts in empowering associations, streamlining their operations, overseeing foreign funding, and establishing procedures for their development and governance.
