Amman: Jordan is participating in high-level ministerial meetings in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, alongside the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, Syria, and Morocco. The meetings aim to discuss the latest regional and international developments and explore avenues for strengthening joint cooperation.
According to Jordan News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi is representing Jordan in the discussions, which focus on enhancing strategic relations between the GCC and the participating nations. The meetings also seek to expand cooperation across various fields and facilitate an exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues.
Key topics on the agenda include deepening strategic partnerships, advancing joint initiatives across multiple sectors, and promoting shared interests. The discussions will also address ongoing consultation, coordination, and exchange of perspectives on regional and global developments to reinforce security and stability in the region.
The meetings are being held on the sidelines of the 163rd session of the GCC Ministerial Council, chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, who currently presides over the council.
