Beijing: Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mamoun Deibi'e, on Wednesday participated in the launching ceremony of the China-Arab States Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health. The event took place at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (FAHZU), China, and was attended by official and academic figures from both China and Arab countries, along with several ambassadors and health sector officials.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Deibi'e emphasized the significance of the newly inaugurated hub in fostering Arab-Chinese collaboration in the public health sector during his speech at the ceremony. He commended China's initiatives that pave the way for building "strategic" partnerships rooted in scientific and technological innovation aimed at enhancing human health.
Dr. Deibi'e highlighted Jordan's aspirations to deepen its cooperation with China, particularly in the fields of infectious disease prevention, chronic disease management, and the clinical application of scientific research. He also outlined a future vision that includes the launch of joint training programs for health personnel, promoting academic and professional exchanges, developing telemedicine services, and reinforcing international patient referral mechanisms.
Additionally, Dr. Deibi'e noted that the center's inauguration aligns with the 10th anniversary of the "strategic" partnership between Jordan and China. He expressed optimism that this collaboration would lead to a "more prosperous and integrated" Arab-Chinese society in the near future.
