The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned, on Thursday, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Danish Embassy, in protest against what an extremist group in Denmark had done by burning a copy of the Holy Qur'an.
The Ministry said, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, that following "what an extremist group in Denmark burned a copy of the Holy Qur'an and raised slogans of hatred and racism against Islam and Muslims, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Danish Embassy to the Kingdom and delivered him a protest note." It includes calling on the Kingdom to stop these disgraceful acts, which violate all religious teachings, international laws and norms.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed the Kingdom's categorical rejection of all these acts that fuel hatred among religions.
