Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that Russia will contribute to preventing conflicts on the African continent, and is ready to work hand in hand with African friends for the future.
Putin said, "Our country will continue to make a real contribution to resolving current crises, preventing the emergence of new hotbeds of tension on the continent, combating terrorism and extremism, combating epidemics and famines, and resolving food, environmental and information security issues."
The Russian president quoted the example of Africa saying: "If you want to go fast, go alone, and if you want to go far, let's go together."
"We are really willing to work together, hand in hand with African friends for the future, to build a strategic relationship and partnership," he added.
