Turkey summons its ambassador to Tel Aviv for not responding to the ceasefire

Istanbul, Turkey announced the summoning of its ambassador in Tel Aviv, Shakir Ozkar Torunlar, to Ankara for consultations.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today: Turkey summoned its ambassador to Tel Aviv due to "the Israeli side's failure to respond to ceasefire demands and its continued attacks on civilians."

It added in its statement: The summoning of the Turkish ambassador was also due to “Israel’s failure to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza on a permanent and continuous basis, and taking into account the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.”
