Amman: The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, has initiated the second phase of the "My Land" (or ARDI) project, aimed at developing employment skills related to agriculture. This initiative targets youth across the country, specifically those aged between 18 and 35.
According to Jordan News Agency, the project offers 31 training courses designed to train up to 540 participants. These courses blend theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the latest agricultural technologies. During the training, participants receive a transportation allowance of JD150 and a professional practice certificate, qualifying them to work in the agricultural sector of the Kingdom.
The training encompasses skills in constructing greenhouses, farms, and nurseries, as well as producing dairy products, drying vegetables and fruits, and making pickles, jams, and pastry. Additionally, the program aims to train assistant chefs and other specializations within the horticulture field.
The VTC has stated that this project is a significant step towards equipping young people with the necessary skills demanded by the agricultural labor market. It also plays a role in advancing sustainable agricultural development within the Kingdom.
