A joint security force began a security operation to pursue ISIS gangs northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency /NINA: “A joint security force from Diyala Emergency Regiment and the Tactical Regiment, with the support of the engineering unit detachments, carried out a security operation within the sector north of Al-Muqdadiya, northeast of Baqubah.”
He added: “The operation included raiding and searching the villages and orchards of Sinsil and the edge of the Diyala River from the eastern side, in order to prevent terrorist and criminal gangs from finding safe havens in the region.”
