Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan and Estonian President Alar Karis met on Monday in Amman to discuss enhancing cooperation in various fields including technology, health digitization, education, leadership, innovation, and tourism. The leaders emphasized the importance of the private sector in identifying opportunities for partnership and investment in both countries, and they highlighted the upcoming Jordanian-Estonian Business Forum set to take place in Amman as a significant step forward. According to Jordan News Agency, Prime Minister Hassan outlined Jordan's economic modernization vision, which aims to foster sustainable economic growth and attract increased investments. He encouraged the establishment of agreements to support investment between Jordan and Estonia. The discussions also touched upon the current regional developments, especially in light of the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon. Both leaders reiterated the necessity for continuous coordination and political consultations between their nations. Prime Minister Hassan further elaborated on Jordan's efforts to bring an end to the Israeli conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon and condemned Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian West Bank. He emphasized the importance of avoiding regional escalation and commended Estonia's support for the two-state solution and its backing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). President Karis acknowledged Jordan's pivotal role in maintaining regional security and stability. He also praised Jordan's efforts in providing humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza, underscoring the country's dedication to humanitarian relief work in the region.
