Irbid: Chief of the Royal Court Yousef Issawi, head of the committee to follow up on implementation of Royal Initiatives, inaugurated several projects and toured ongoing developments in Irbid Governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, these initiatives are part of a series of royal projects aimed at enhancing services for citizens and advancing sustainable development throughout the Kingdom. In the Ramtha District, Issawi, along with Social Development Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa and local officials, opened an expanded Center for People with Disabilities. The new facilities include an additional floor with five classrooms, health amenities, and essential furniture and equipment, increasing the center's capacity from 72 to 112 students. This expansion will enable the center to better serve children with disabilities, offering specialized services for those with mild and moderate mental and motor disabilities, as well as children with Down syndrome and autism, aged 4 to 18.
In the North Mazar and Bani Kinanah districts, two public parks were inaugurated in Deir Youssef and Al-Rafid. These parks feature five-a-side playgrounds, children's play areas inclusive of those with disabilities, tree-lined green spaces, paved walkways, and seating areas. These additions are part of the nine public parks established in Irbid Governorate under the Royal Initiative projects.
In Umm Qais, located in the Bani Kinanah district, Issawi, accompanied by Minister of Environment Muawiya Radaideh and local officials, inspected the progress of an environmental lodge project in Yarmouk Reserve. The project includes 20 chalets, ten hotel rooms, a visitor building, and various tourist facilities, aimed at promoting and revitalizing eco-tourism by attracting both Arab and foreign visitors to one of Jordan's key natural areas.
In the Northern Jordan Valley District, Issawi, alongside Minister of Youth Yazan Shdaifat, inaugurated two five-a-side football pitches. These pitches are a particular priority of the royal initiative, providing a safe environment for local youth to engage in sports activities.
