Prince Ali Chairs Jordan Football Association Meeting Focused on World Cup Success

Amman: HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), chaired a meeting on Wednesday attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan. The meeting emphasized the need for joint efforts to build on the national football squad's historic qualification for the World Cup and to use this achievement as a motivational tool for youth.

According to Jordan News Agency, Prince Ali appreciated the government's support for the youth and sports sector. He highlighted the necessity of intensive work and enhanced programs to sustain the success of the national team's first-ever qualification for the World Cup finals. This success is expected to positively impact the football ecosystem and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

The Prime Minister, Jafar Hassan, acknowledged the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in achieving this milestone, along with Prince Ali's leadership. He committed to supporting the national squad's progress, especially in preparations for the World Cup, and ensuring a conducive environment for fan support during the global event. Additionally, the government will double the JFA's budget from next year, aiming to expand training centers and leverage youth center infrastructure for football and other sports.

Hassan also emphasized the importance of nurturing talent and creating suitable infrastructure, announcing plans for a new international football stadium, as ordered by His Majesty the King, to meet the highest standards and support Jordanian sports.

JFA Secretary-General Samar Nassar presented the association's strategic plan, focusing on enhancing technical performance, supporting youth, strengthening governance, developing infrastructure, expanding marketing, and increasing fan engagement. She outlined preparations for the Nashama's World Cup participation, including training camps and fixtures, and highlighted challenges like financial constraints and infrastructure needs. Nassar stressed that supporting clubs is a priority, calling for efforts to develop new stadiums across the Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth Yazan Shdaifat and members of the Jordan Football Association board.
